American Craft Beers

Young's developed the American range to bring the best of American craft brewing to the UK. The approach is simply based on the same philosophy as the American craft brewing industry; only the best and freshest ingredients are used not sacrificing quality over cost. What really sets this range apart is the use of specially selected yeasts including US West Coast Ale dried yeast sourced from an American craft brewery and Newcastle Dark Ale yeast. All used to bring out the wonderful flavoursome liquid malt extracts with progressive style hops - skillfully combined to bring you a truly inspired range of premium quality American craft beer kits.

American IPA
Nothing excites the craft beer drinker more than an IPA, almost the flagship beer of the American Craft beer Revolution. This beer is far different from the stuffy sub 4% beers found in some back street pubs with more similarities to the traditional IPA’s brewed in the 18th century. These beers were brewed to slake the thirst of the British troops garrisoned in India and were heavily hopped and relatively high in alcohol to survive the arduous journey round the southern tip of South Africa. Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial Hops Apearence - Pale gold with a fluffy white head. Aroma - Intense Citrus Grapefruit and Pine Taste - Bitter and balanced. Makes 40 pints at approx 6.5%.

American Mocha Porter
This beer brings together, in suitably dramatic style, the best of two classic styles the Coffee Porter and Chocolate Stout. Our American Mocha Porter looks the part, pouring a dark Chocolate with a big white fluffy head. With bags of Coffee and Chocolate essence reinforcing and magnifying the natural rich and roasty character of the malts, this beer flaunts a wonderfully intense aroma of Coffee and Chocolate which explodes from the glass.
